This duct extension moves the fan and flap assembly out 2 inches from the firebox and includes a vented barrier to prevent embers from falling into the fan and flap. The added distance moves the flap back so it does not float out into the burn chamber while the fan is running. Comes with gasket installed, additional gasket, hardware and instructions.
This product does not guarantee that your flap or fan could not still be damaged. It also will not fix already damaged fan or flap. Your flap must be in good shape for the grill to operate properly. Operating your grill in windy conditions may cause back draft through the flap and fan causing damage. Keep your grill out of the wind. Requires re routing of the fan plug in wire outside of the cable cover. All products may differ slightly from pictures.
